Okay, so I have a boring, basic tattoo on my ankle. It was a matching tattoo I got with a best friend of mine. She had been like a sister to me for 6 years. She loved the tattoo idea, and so we did it. It's an african symbol meaning "no worries".

Well, 3 months later she met a boyfriend - who was abusive - and wouldn't leave him. I was the friend who stood up to him, and he decided that she couldn't see any of her friends anymore. Unfortunately, she listened to him and I haven't gotten to see or talk to her in over a year. ((To put the long story in a small nut shell))

I don't regret the tattoo, and I don't want to cover it up. But every time I see it it makes me sad. I worry about her, wonder if she's okay, remember the way things used to be. I also don't want to change it, because in a way I feel it's like the last piece I have of her, in case I never get our friendship back.

But I do want to add around it... Going around the tattoo that's there and all the way around my ankle. That way when I look at my ankle it's not the only thing I see, haha.

So, If any of you have ideas for what could go around it, I want something that kind of reflects not wanting to forget the past, but having to move on even if it hurts and you don't want to. Bittersweet memories...

But I was hoping to get some Papa Roach lyrics around it. I've been reading all the lyrics and can't really find any that "fit". But maybe some of you interpret the lyrics in a different way.

I have an appointment scheduled with my artist whose also going to try and help me with ideas on June 30, so I know it's kinda... not too far away. But if anybody has any sugestions that'd be kick ass!
